A man has suffered serious spinal and hip injuries after a lift malfunction which sent it speeding up a tall building and slamming violently into the roof.
In this real-life Terror Tower clip, a man is seen getting in the lift before it starts its ascent.
But as it climbs the lift becomes more and more unstable and gradually gets faster.
In his panic the man stabs buttons. The lift door opens and reveals -- to his shock -- the speed at which it's travelling.
It smashes into the ceiling throwing the contents around like a rag doll.
Emergency services were called to the building in Bustamante Park, Chile, on Friday.
The man was rescued by firefighters and taken to hospital where he underwent a spinal operation. \metro\
